🌊 Coral Care Guide

📦 Acclimation Steps

  • Float the sealed bag for 15–20 minutes to equalize temperature.
  • Transfer coral and bag water into a clean container.
  • Slowly add small amounts of tank water for 10–15 minutes.
  • No drip acclimation: extended exposure in stagnant water can stress corals.
  • No dips needed: our frags are healthy and pest-free; dips may harm sensitive species.

📊 Target Parameters

Parameter Range
Temperature 77–79°F
Salinity 1.025–1.026
Alkalinity 8–9 dKH
Calcium 420–450 ppm
Magnesium 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) 2–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) 0.02–0.10 ppm

💡 Light & Flow

  • SPS generally thrive at 200–350 PAR. LPS & gonis are happy in the 100–200 PAR range.
  • Run a blue-weighted spectrum (15K–20K) for color and vitality.
  • Provide steady indirect flow—enough to keep polyps swaying without tissue being blasted.

📝 Helpful Tips

  • Light acclimate new frags for several days before placing them under full intensity.
  • Consistency beats perfection: stable parameters are more important than chasing exact numbers.
  • Always handle by the plug or skeleton, never the living tissue.
